Dr. Miguel Ángel Montalvo Lucero is phenomenal! I have tried everything to lose weight unsuccessfully. His team was absolutely amazing. I was worried about traveling for a surgery, but I 100% received better care with his team then I have anywhere else. The bedside manner is unlike anything I’ve ever received. Over the years, I have heard and read many stories of other bariatric patients saying the only thing they regret was not doing the surgery sooner, and as cliché as it sounds: those are my sentiments exactly! From the beginning of the process everything went so smoothly. In my dealings and conversations with Ms. Rossy (she is AMAZING 🤩!!), to getting picked up at the airport, the staff at the hotel and the hospital, to meeting Dr. Huacuz and his colleagues. After speaking with the doctor and his team, I felt very reassured about my decision of having Dr. Huacuz perform my surgery. I traveled from Florida to get treated by Dr. Huacuz. His assistant, Rossy, made all the logistical arrangements for me to arrive to the SanDiego airport, be transported to their office, have all the labs and pre op done and I had surgery the same day. He has excellent bedside manners and oversaw all my hospital stay. The following day we were transported to the 5 star hotel and stayed a few days. I originally had the lap-band done in 2002 with Dr Huacuz. He changed my life! Dr Huacuz and his staff treated me exceptionally well back then, now I have returned back to Dr Huacuz in April 2022, 20 years later to have my lap-band removed, hernia repair that my US Doctors said they couldn’t do anything for me only remove my band. On Wednesday, November 19th, I had my surgery with Dr. Cabrera, and with the help of his nurses and Dr. Karina, they made me feel much better. Thank you for everything.
